A Little Felted Bag
I started this little bag because I bought the OneSkein book and was tired of all my current projects (there are four things on needles).
I finished it late last night and because I sufferer from insomnia, decided to felt it right away. I couldn't wait, that's just not my nature.
So off I went to the basement, filled up the washer and threw it in. After about 20 minutes I started to get desperate, it wasn't felting, or at least it wasn't felting as quickly as merino does. But finally, I could see the changes happening and at the end it was only a couple of minutes that made the difference.
Now I learned a little lesson here, do a test swatch, it's worth it. That was also the same advice I was given by a blogger buddy. The second is Alpaca/Silk blend doesn't felt very well and so I won't use it again. I was trying to clear out my stash and had 100 grams left over from a sweater. Considering that this stuff cost me about 20 bucks I could have used it for a small scarf or gloves and it would have been better...definitely a learning experience.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that felting doesn't always work for. I'm usually too impatient to swatch. But your bag looks nice so at least it turned out ok in the end.
