My Green Socks

This is a beautiful green merino from Kpixie, a company I had never heard of. I just followed another knitters link and there I was. I couldn't resist.

I hope to finish them within a week, but there is a pattern where I need to pay a little attention. Not mindless knitting.

This coming week we are getting company from California. We are a blended family with my offspring living in Cowtown (that's Calgary) and my sweeties offspring living in sunny California.

Well, the Californians are coming to T-Dot during what is meant to be the coldest spell of weather we've had in years...I feel sorry for them already.

Of course that means only mindless knitting for the next 10 days, stuff where no counting is required. I'll keep you informed how that goes.

Hello Rositta! Thanks for your comment on my blog.

You were asking about the LT in the cable twist sock pattern. I learned how to do it from Hello Yarn's Cable Twist sock pattern (http://www.helloyarn.com/cabletwistsocks.pdf)

Here's what the pattern says:

"Left Twist (LT) as follows: Knit second stitch on left hand needle through the back loop. Without slipping the stitch off the needle, slip first stitch purlwise onto right-hand needle, allowing the second stitch to slip off left hand needle."

Hope this helps!

A.

PS - That merino is yummy :0)
