Another Finished Project - About Time !

There is a warning in the felting book that one minute can make a difference. I guess I wasn't paying attention, this hat may be just a bit to small for me...oh well, I have friends with smaller heads than me.

The other thing is the I-cord length. I was instructed (and I always follow instructions) to knit it 42 inches. Problem is, I'm 6 foot tall, therefore for me it should probably be 10 inches longer before felting.

Although I wouldn't really have had enough yarn to make a longer I-Cord, if you see the picture the amount of yarn left over is minuscule. Cutting it close as usual, I hope that doesn't happen with my cardi...

I guess I'm going to have to try again, I really want a hat like this for myself, maybe next time, sigh... as for felting, I guess I really need to pay more attention.

I don't think I'm going to get much knitting done in the next week. We have company from California (fools, it's freezing here) and we have to do some of the touristy stuff, like Niagara Falls! I hope to get some pictures of the frozen falls and post them.

What a cute hat! Ususally my stuff doesn't felt enough and it ends up huge. Felting never goes the way you think it is going to. Your visitors must be freezing! We are the coldest we've been in ll yrs here in Pittsburgh, bet its even colder up where you are. Stay warm.
