More Socks

Remember this yarn? The most expensive sock yarn at 28 bucks for a pair of socks. Well, I've started knitting them.

New Sock Yarn

So far though, I'm not feeling the love... I love the sock pattern which is from Knitty and can be found here. What I'm not loving is the yarn and I don't think it will wear well. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Knitting 034

The pattern name is Monkey and I love the way the pattern just flows. This time I'm doing one sock at a time because there is enough interest in the pattern to keep my mind occupied. I just know I will get the second sock done. I started this one yesterday and look how far I've gotten. I guess the fact that it's snowing outside and I can't really go anywhere has a little to do with it. Happy weekend and happy knitting all...

Thanks first of all for the kind comments you've left on my blog about my Grandma's passing! I just read your "penny story" on your other blog - what a lovely story!

I truly believe that Grandma was letting me know everything would be alright. She was always one for the "sixth sense" and why stop now?!? Made me feel better that day anyways, and my boyfriend has put it up on the fridge as a reminder.

As for knitting! I made Monkey socks last year and they are such a quick pattern! I've been wearing mine all winter - they're especially great on the really cold days here in Winnipeg! Nothing like cozy hand knit socks! :)

Hi Sarah, thanks for visiting. The pattern is really lovely but I am going to frog these socks. It's a yarn issue and the company is replacing it.
