Finished Socks - Time For A New Project
There, I finally finished Steve's socks and he's quite happy to have them since he has a lot of snow left to shovel. It's only March and I'm sure there will be at least one more snowstorm. It's also still cold out, about -2c today with colder weather still forecast for the rest of the week.
I did these from some left over yarn I had, hence the stripes. I had just a little left over after finishing these socks. I did them in a 2 x 2 rib so they will stay up nicely.
Since I have now finished my "secret" project, which I can't show to anyone until it's safely on it's way to the destination I've run out of projects for the moment. I decided to make something for myself and my new project is the Central Park Hoodie in a lovely wool bought from Webs Yarn and is the Northampton wool in the Chestnut colorway. I think it will look nice on me and can hardly wait to start it.
And then of course, there are new socks to start with the lovely yarn I got for my birthday.

Love the socks. The snow looks nice and clean as a backdrop-I'm ever so glad it is your snow and not mine! (tho I am sure you've had your fill of the white fluffy stuff too).
Happy belated Birthday. The snow amount of snow up north has been amazing. One of our snow bird knitter is leaving our warmth for Ontario this week. We'll be wishing her a fond adieu until next year at our knitting group.
Thanks for the comments, we are actually expecting MORE snow next week, yuck. It really has been the worst of winters in a long time...
Happy B'day! Too bad about the snow but those socks are super neat. I really like how they turned out. Can't wait to see how the central park hoodie turns out.
Happy belated Birthday, Rositta!
I see you have been in to socks lately. They look great! I made a pair myself this spring, and I actually use them on and of also..
Have a great weekend,
Randi
